Independent developer ganma_cat officially released the browser quiz game 'SteamCue' on July 23, 2026. The game is free to play on PC and smartphone browsers with no installation required. Players guess the titles of games distributed on Steam based on a single screenshot from the store page, with four candidate answers provided. Options allow filtering by review count, genre, release era, and price range. Game modes include solo play, a Party Room for up to 4 players (up to 8 with a VIP membership), and a beta 1-on-1 Online Battle mode with automatic matchmaking. Scores are based on correct answers and response speed, with stats tracked after each round. A VIP membership costs 500 yen per month and adds features such as increased player limits and in-game currency for profile items. The developer, a 23-year-old web creator and 19-year Steam user, stated the goal is to help Steam games, especially indie titles, reach more players.
