Steel Frontier Mecha Action RPG Opens Steam Store Page
The Steam store page for the sci-fi mecha action RPG Steel Frontier has been opened. The game is developed by Cat Pounce Game Production and published by Right Mind. In Steel Frontier, the player takes on the role of a mercenary pilot named Ivan, who lands on the cold frontier planet Minryusei. There, pilots control humanoid mechs imbued with a Machine Soul, racing across battlefields from a fortress in a cold region to wastelands scorched by war. Players customize their mechs with weapon parts and action modules obtained within stages, combining heat energy blades, heavy howitzers, and other weapons to adapt to various combat situations. The key feature is stylish action: players can approach with jets and strike with a blade, or shoot from long range with guns. The developer, who is also an animator and goes by the name Chacha Bouzu, is posting development logs on X. These showcase high-speed combat, mecha moving as if gliding across the ground, and using wires to traverse uneven terrain. The release date is undecided, and Japanese language support is planned for the PC version on Steam.
