SlashZero Release Set for Spring 2027, Demo Now Live
Streetlamp Studio announced during the State of Play broadcast on September 3, 2026 that its side-scrolling roguelike action game SlashZero will launch in spring 2027. A demo is now available on Steam and the PlayStation Store, offering up to 10 hours of playable content. The demo includes new maps, three playable characters, and boss battles, expanding on the closed beta test from March 2026. It also introduces a new Time Hacker named Hamlet, allowing players to experience the game's core mechanics, including free combat and build combinations, unlocking additional Time Hackers, and progression systems that carry across runs. SlashZero features anime-style 3D graphics and a cyberpunk setting, with gameplay centered on a deep combo system and parkour-like movement across a multi-layered map. The title is planned for PS5, as well as PC via Steam. A separate play report based on roughly five hours with the earlier playtest describes the combat as stylish and the build diversity as substantial.
