SWERY reported on June 8 that Hotel Barcelona's Steam user reviews have improved from 'Mixed' to 'Mostly Positive,' with recent reviews rated 'Very Positive.' The roguelike horror action game, developed by White Owls in collaboration with Grasshopper Manufacture, received a major update in March when the studio switched to self-publishing, adjusting movement, combat, and balance. A DLC and further updates in April also contributed to the turnaround.
