Mokusei Publishers to Launch Bilingual Literary Magazine The Eastern Observer

Mokusei Publishers will release a new Japanese-English bilingual literary magazine, The Eastern Observer, on July 4, 2026. The inaugural issue features 13 writers, artists, and creators from Japan and Asia, including architect Lina Ghotmeh, filmmaker Ka Oda, and cartoonist Woshibai. The magazine will be sold at bookstores nationwide and online, with related events at Daikanyama Tsutaya Books.
