The Legend of Hei 2

The Legend of Hei 2 is a film that ran in Japanese theaters in 2025 and follows Xiao Hei two years after the first movie. GKIDS acquired the international rights to the film, and the Japanese home video release is set for July 22. Three editions are planned for Blu-ray and DVD. The Special Edition includes a Xiao Hei mini figure, while the Complete Limited Edition adds a newly drawn jacket, a soundtrack, and a Japanese dub script. That release is described as the final stage of the film's Japanese rollout.

Merchandise for the film has continued past the theatrical run. Good Smile Arts Shanghai opened pre-orders on Amazon.co.jp for a Nendoroid of Wuxian, the strongest human in the film. The figure is painted, posable, non-scale, and stands about 100mm. It ships with a dedicated base and includes Serious, Smiling, and Surprised face plates along with a sword, ladle, effect parts, and a game controller. The look is his casual NAZA T-shirt rather than his story costume, which places the figure on the character-goods shelf rather than in the film's theatrical promotion. The Nendoroid is priced at 6,900 yen and carries an April 30, 2027 release date, later than the home video rollout.
