Actor and Voice Actor Toru Shinagawa Dies at 90
Toru Shinagawa, the actor and voice actor known for roles in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Fancy Lala, and the Fullmetal Alchemist live-action films, died on August 29. He was 90. His agency Knockout announced the death on Monday, stating he had been undergoing treatment for lymphoma. Shinagawa was born in Hokkaido in 1935 and worked across stage, film, television, and voice acting.
