11 Bit Studios' Trainwatch Puts Horror Behind a Crossing Gate Job
11 bit studios showed a playable demo of Trainwatch, a new PC psychological horror from solo developer Harvester Games, at gamescom 2026. The game casts players as Troy, a new attendant at a fog-covered railroad crossing who manually lowers and raises gates for about six trains a day. The monotony gives way to horror, with the train speaking to the player and a mysterious underground facility to uncover. Time management and a Sanity level constrain exploration. Japanese localization is planned, with release set for 2027.
