Aooni Joins VTuber Ranks With a Silent Game Stream
UUUM LiTMUS announced on October 23 that Aooni, the icon of the 2004 horror game, will start work as a VTuber. Aooni's first stream runs October 30, 2026, from 20:00 to 22:00 on the YouTube Aooni Channel. The debut title is Capcom's Onimusha: Way of the Sword, the latest entry in the Sengoku survival action series, set in early Edo period Kyoto with a young Miyamoto Musashi granted the power of oni against the monstrous Genma. The concept behind the activities is "supporting horror games," with streams covering titles from famous works down to indie releases. The format is the unusual part: a Live2D-animated Aooni reacts with its whole body to the game, but does not speak, which LiTMUS frames as a silent style that lets the game audio and visuals carry the viewing experience. Because Aooni stays quiet, the chat does the talking, and comments, game requests, and casual chat are all invited.
