Developer One More Level announced a delay for the Soulslike RPG 'Valor Mortis' just four days after revealing its September 24 release date. The game is now set to launch on October 13, 2026, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The developer cited a crowded September release schedule as the reason.
One More Level, the studio behind the 'Ghostrunner' series, announced during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 on June 8 that its soulslike action game 'Valor Mortis' will launch on September 24, 2026. The game is set in a fictional 19th-century Europe ravaged by disease. Players control a former soldier of Napoleon's army who has been resurrected from the dead, using supernatural abilities to fight monsters. The gameplay trailer shown at the event featured combat with sabers and guns, parrying mechanics, and parkour actions that let players leap across distances. 'Valor Mortis' will be available on PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and will be a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass. The showcase also revealed that French actor Vincent Cassel, known for 'Black Swan' and the 'Ocean's' film series, will voice the role of Napoleon. Cassel previously voiced Victor Chevalier in 'Tekken 8'.
