Microsoft set a pre-order date for the Xbox Series X25, a limited edition Xbox Series X marking the 25th anniversary of Xbox. The bundle includes a specially designed console with an engraved serial number, a matching controller, and a download of Halo: Campaign Evolved. It costs $899.99 USD and releases November 13, 2026. Publisher Xbox Game Studios and developer Halo Studios have started early access for 'Halo: Campaign Evolved,' a full remake of the first Halo game built in Unreal Engine 5. Early access, a benefit of the Premium Edition, allows play up to five days before the official release on July 29 at 0:00 JST. The remake supports online cooperative play for up to four players for the first time in the series, and includes cross-platform play across PC (Microsoft Store and Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. A launch trailer accompanied the early access start. A separate graphics comparison video from YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits shows the visual evolution from the 2001 original through the 2011 'Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary' remaster to the 2026 remake, noting that the UE5 version rebuilds environments from scratch with altered object shapes and rock placements, more realistic water transparency, and metallic vehicle finishes. The remake also supports Xbox Game Pass.

Granzella announced on July 22, 2026, that it will release a free collaboration DLC for the side-view shooters R-Type Final 2 and R-Type Final 3 Evolved. The DLC, titled R-9Aix Extra Arrow, is a crossover with City Connection's FZ: Formation Z. It adds a new player aircraft inspired by the variable humanoid weapon Ixpel from FZ: Formation Z. When the Force is detached, the craft transforms into a humanoid form that can attack diagonally up and down. When the Force is attached, it reverts to flight form and fires wave cannons and lasers similar to the standard R-9A. The DLC will be available starting July 23, 2026, at 0:00 JST on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via DMM GAMES. The release timing for PC versions sold by NIS America on Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG.com, and Microsoft Store has not yet been determined; Granzella said it will announce details on the official website and social media once decided.

Microsoft announced during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 on June 8 that Halo Studios' remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved, titled Halo: Campaign Evolved, will release on July 28, 2026. The game is a full remake of the campaign mode, rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5, and will be available on PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be included in Xbox and PC Game Pass from day one. The remake adds three new bonus missions under the operation name 'Operation: Meteorite', featuring Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson, with new environments, gameplay, and enemies. Nine iconic weapons from across the Halo series have been added to the arsenal. The light anime adaptation of Hokuhoku Yakiimo and Kusabi Kurokawa's manga Saved by the Ice Cold Prince's Embrace has revealed its main cast and staff in a teaser promotional video. Miku Itō will voice the protagonist Katrina, and Yōhei Azakami will voice Prince Clarence. Yūsuke Morishita, known for directing I Want to Live a Long Life to Dote on My Favorite Stepbrother, is directing the anime at IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio in collaboration with Stainlab. The anime is set to premiere on TV Kanagawa in July 2026. The story follows Katrina, the illegitimate daughter of a count and his maid, who is sent to the northern outskirts to learn proper conduct under a prince rumored to be cruel, only to find him kinder than expected. The manga began serialization in January 2025 under Funguild's Comic Spira label, and the original text story was first posted on Shōsetsu ni Narō in July 2023. Funguild describes the light anime as an adaptation of the manga version.
