HK STYLE Patents Two-Trigger AR That Requires a Second Match Before Content Opens
Fukuoka-based HK STYLE, which runs the ONCARD web AR service, has obtained patent no. 7923054 for an AR technique it calls W Trigger. A first tag (NFC card, sticker, QR code, barcode or ID number) starts the camera, then image recognition of a separate product, print, place or building must match before content appears. The company lists oshi-katsu goods, product collaborations, tourism and corporate information access as target uses.
