Usagi Shima Rabbit Game Hits Steam on October 29

Usagi Shima already found its audience on iOS and Android, so the Steam date is less a new game than a widening of where a slow, petting-driven idle loop can be played.

Usagi Shima Rabbit Game Hits Steam on October 29

Wholesome Games Presents announced on October 1 that the PC (Steam) version of Usagi Shima, the rabbit-collecting idle game from studio rabbiko, arrives on October 29, with Japanese in-game display planned. Players manage an uninhabited island, place toys and facilities to attract rabbits, pet and brush them for carrots, and fill a Rabbit Ear Encyclopedia. More than 35 rabbits are included.

The Steam release was dated by Wholesome Games Presents on October 1, roughly three years after the iOS and Android version arrived in September 2023. The game is planned to support Japanese in-game display.

On the island, players build a general store, then buy toys, decorations, plants and facilities to place anywhere. Rabbits visit on their own schedule, drawn by what has been set out; the pace is meant to be slow. Petting, brushing and feeding builds affection, and affectionate rabbits leave carrots, which pay for the next round of items. Gold carrots, the rare second type, are needed for special facilities.

The collection layer runs on the Usamimi Meikan, with more than 35 rabbits. Rare rabbits appear when conditions are met, close friends can hand over mementos, and in-game time follows the real world.
