yoruhashi Launches Tatarigatachi Manga In Weekly Shonen Champion
The new serial arrives as yoruhashi's other current series, Rega in the Sleeping Forest, ended in March with its story explicitly billed as only halfway through, so the creator's weekly workload now sits alongside an unfinished narrative and an English release of that title still set for spring 2027.

Weekly Shonen Champion's 46th issue announced that yoruhashi will start a new manga, Tatarigatachi -Dochakushin Geigeki Gakuin-, in the magazine's next issue on Thursday. The story follows a young boy named Raran, whose older sister prays to the cat god in the mountain and falls victim to a divine disaster, prompting Raran to vow to destroy all curses.
The announcement came in issue 46, with the launch set for issue 47 on Thursday. Weekly Shonen Champion framed the run as a new serialization push, pairing yoruhashi's launch with a second new title from a different creator in a later issue.
yoruhashi's Rega in the Sleeping Forest ran in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from August 2025 and ended on March 9, with the final chapter indicating the story is only halfway through. Kodansha published its second compiled volume on April 9, and Kodansha USA Publishing will release the series in English starting spring 2027.
