Overwatch Tops Steam Sales Chart As Torneko Remaster Debuts At Eighth
Overwatch took first place in the 182nd edition of ASCII.jp's weekly Steam sales ranking after Blizzard Entertainment began a new season, with WARDOGS second and Apex Legends third.
Reporting from 1 source: ASCII.jp.
Why it matters
The chart shows a new season of a free-to-play shooter outranking a fresh Square Enix remaster that arrived with almost no lead time after its Nintendo Direct reveal.
Among new entries, the Touhou bullet-hell shooter Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic placed sixth and Square Enix's Torneko's Great Adventure: Mystery Dungeon remaster placed eighth, two weeks after the remaster was announced at a Nintendo Direct.
ASCII.jp's Steam sales ranking is compiled every Monday from the store's Japanese top-selling chart, and the September 14 edition counts sales at 13:00 that day.
Overwatch leads after Blizzard Entertainment started a new season, with WARDOGS in second and Apex Legends in third. Two new titles land in the top ten: the Touhou bullet-hell shooter at sixth and the Torneko remaster at eighth.
