Electronic Arts will run an Apex Legends collaboration with Toho's Godzilla series starting at 3:00 on November 11, during Season 31. The mode Wildcard: Godzilla Invasion puts Godzilla on the Storm Point map, where players must enter the attack zone before its heat ray fires. Care packages carry a custom Devotion called Kaiju's Heat War, and 10 Legend skins drawn from Godzilla works appear during the event.
Electronic Arts will open Season 31 of Apex Legends, subtitled Cipher, on November 4 at 3:00. The update reworks the Recon-class Legend Crypto, whose surveillance drone moves from an unlimited deployment to a battery system. Placing the drone in an optimal spot activates Sentry Mode, which marks enemies in its line of sight for Crypto and his squadmates, and the EMP ultimate can now fire from a single button press. Revenant and Lifeline are strengthened: Revenant gets a shorter ultimate cooldown and a faster tactical, and Lifeline gets a shorter D.O.C. cooldown and can self-heal while sliding. A new Akimbo Wingman lets players carry two Wingmans at once. The map gains Stronghold, a raid-able facility that yields Care Package weapons for the whole squad but takes time to open and sounds an alarm that reveals the squad's position. Ranked adds Legend BAN in Diamond-and-above lobbies, where each player votes for one Legend and a weighted random draw sets the ban chance.
Hori has opened Amazon preorders for the Electric Ocarina of Time, an officially licensed Nintendo accessory for Nintendo Switch 2, after preorders had been limited to the company's own Hori Store. The electronic ocarina is scheduled for release on November 5 at 7,980 yen, the same day as the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time it is built to work with. Amazon orders currently list delivery for November 6, one day after launch. The device is not a real ocarina and is not played by blowing into it. The Switch 2 console picks up its sound, letting players play along with performance scenes in the game. It has two modes: Free Play, where finger holes are covered as on a real ocarina, and Auto Play, where songs from the game play automatically and can be triggered with buttons. Inside counts 12 songs in Auto Play. A volume dial and earphone jack are included.
Nintendo released the Fire Emblem: Many Purples, A Thousand Reds Expansion Pass for the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 15, priced at 4,400 yen. The surprise announcement covers three waves: the first, out today, adds a weapon modeled after a Hero's Relic from Fire Emblem: Three Houses for each route in Part 1. Wave two arrives in winter 2026, and wave three in 2027.
Apple announced its first smart display, the Apple HomeView, on October 13, 2026. The device pairs a 7-inch display with a dome-shaped base connected by a stainless steel hinge, and a woofer sits inside the base. It ships in Silver, Starlight, Rose Pink, and Space Gray, priced at $299. The HomeView launches November 13 in the United States and seven other English-speaking markets: Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and South Africa. ASCII.jp reports no Japanese release date is set. Siri AI anchors the software. The HomeView recognizes up to six family members and builds a personalized home screen for each. Paired with an Apple Intelligence iPhone or iPad, it pulls calendar entries, messages, and Apple Music playlists onto the screen, and Siri AI conversations continue across Apple devices. Two full-range drivers sit on the display side, with a woofer and passive radiator in the base; computational audio runs on an A18 chip.
Crunchyroll announced at its New York Comic Con panel on October 8, 2026 that the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends anime is now scheduled for 2028, moving it off the 2027 window the project was first announced with. Two cast members were confirmed: Mayumi Sako and Shinya Fukumatsu. The panel also named additional crew. Keiji Inai handles music, Miwa Iwanami is sound director, and Yasumasa Koyama is sound effects. Calligrapher Gyoushou Suzuki brushed the calligraphy for "Legends," part of the logo. Takanobu Mizuno directs at Kamikaze Douga, with Gen Urobuchi and Ken Maeshima on scripts and Takashi Okazaki on character design. HAYATE produces in association with PlayStation Productions. The series adapts the multiplayer mode from Sucker Punch Productions' Ghost of Tsushima, the folklore and mythology-focused online component that debuted in October 2020 and became available separately in September 2021.
Razer announced the "Razer | Honkai: Star Rail" collection on September 20, a collaboration with HoYoverse's space fantasy RPG. The lineup is themed after the character Silver Wolf LV.999, who was added in April 2026, and covers a gaming chair, keyboard, mouse, and headset. Product details are not yet announced. A teaser video ran on the official Razer Japan X account, and sales in Japan are anticipated. The Honkai: Star Rail account teased online and offline collaboration events.
Razer will release the left-hand keypad Tartarus V2 Pro on September 18 for 33,280 yen, the first new model in the series in about seven years. The key layout is redesigned, with 27 keys, a wide 1.75U left column, specially shaped right-column keys, and an updated thumbstick. Sega showed the opening of Stranger Than Heaven during the TGS2026 Special Opening Night Live stream on September 16. The action-adventure from RGG Studio opens with a young man mistaken for a murderer and chased by police; he misses the ship he meant to board, and the escape becomes the tutorial fight. The title is set across five eras and locations from 1915 to 1965: Kokura in 1915, Kure in 1929, Osaka in 1943, Atami in 1951, and Shinjuku in 1965. Protagonist Shin Oto grows through everyday actions, with movement raising stamina and mahjong raising spirit. The stream also revealed Showbiz, a music production system where Oto works as a promoter, gathering sounds around town, writing songs with composers, hiring singers and musicians, and staging shows with effects such as smoke and confetti. Stranger Than Heaven is scheduled for January 15, 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
