A Game About Penguins Launches August 10 on Steam

The launch arrives with a free demo already live on Steam, so the full sandbox opens to a player base that has already tried the game.

A Game About Penguins Launches August 10 on Steam

Ultimate Games will release CO's Entertainment's penguin sandbox A Game About Penguins on August 10 for PC via Steam, with Japanese text support planned. The game supports up to 12 players online and includes 363 customization items, 98 fish types, minigames, snowball fights, house decorating, and quests from 8 NPCs. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are planned for this year or next. A free demo, A Game About Penguins: First Catch, is available on Steam now.

Players can slide on their bellies and spend fish rewards to raise that slide speed. Facilities across the snowy map hold minigames, including a rhythm game, a race game, and an Only Up!-style sky-climbing action game, plus arcade cabinets that are actually playable.

Beyond that, the sandbox offers snowball fights with a snowball launcher, a purchasable house to decorate, swimming in the sea, and selfies taken with an in-game penguin phone. Eight NPCs hand out quests. The publisher plans PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions for this year or next, and the free demo A Game About Penguins: First Catch is already on Steam.
