ABEMA will stream the full Made in Abyss anime for free in a one-go schedule starting October 4. Season 1 runs its 13 episodes from 22:00 that night. The film Dawn of the Deep Soul follows on October 11 from 21:00, then season 2, The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, runs its 12 episodes on October 18 from 18:00. Each is free to watch for two weeks after broadcast.
ABEMA is spreading the run across three dates rather than dropping everything at once. Season 1 gets the long slot, 22:00 on October 4 through 5:00 the next morning. The film and season 2 take shorter blocks. Each title stays free for two weeks after its broadcast. The manga by Akihito Tsukushi follows Riko, an apprentice cave raider heading for the bottom of the Abyss, and Reg, a robot boy. The series has passed 22 million copies in cumulative circulation.
