Aniimo Launches Free-to-Play On PC And Consoles

Pawprint Interactive Entertainment began global official service for the multiplayer open-world monster-collecting RPG Aniimo on PC and consoles on September 16, 2026. The free-to-play game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through its official client, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. An iOS and Android version is scheduled to follow on September 23. Set on the Idyll Continent, also called Aidil, Aniimo has players capture and raise more than 200 types of creatures, then fuse with them through a mechanic called Twinning to move and fight using their abilities. Captured creatures can be trained, and encounters vary by weather and habitat. The game includes co-op play, team-based PvP, farming, harvesting, and motorhome decorating. Launch rewards include a free Rainbow Form Aniimo at the Beginner Adventurer rank, limited accessories, capture items, eggs, and four costume sets.

Pre-registration rewards include a limited costume called Sunny Meadow, a limited icon frame called Promise of Departure, two Champion Pods, and 200 units of Pyroxene.

Aniimo was shown at gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 before launch.

  • North America closed beta, February 2026
  • First Japan closed beta, July 2026
  • BW2026 exhibition booth, July 2026

Game*Spark published play reports from each of these events. A hands-on report from the Japan CBT described moving over water with a waterside Aniimo and burning trees with a fire-manipulating Aniimo. The report also covered forms and evolution branches that differ in appearance and attributes by habitat area.

Capture success rate changes depending on distance to the target, positioning, and status. Players can sneak up from behind or aim for an opening during battle. Anipod is the capture item. Challenge Dungeons require dedicated Aniimo abilities to solve puzzles. The game gives a system message when players make Aniimo with bad attribute compatibility fight each other.
