Why it matters
The author's health setback lands weeks before the first cour of The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 begins airing on Oct 2, 2026, with the theatrical film set for December and the second cour in April 2027.
The official series X account cited health reasons, and Hyuuga said she is hospitalized with blood test results not yet at a satisfactory level. She will still take part in a live online Q&A during the convention.
The in-person book hand-over sessions are cancelled as well, and attendees who booked one will instead receive a card signed by Hyuuga plus an original sticky note with The Apothecary Diaries artwork. The Overload committee says it will contact affected attendees directly.
Hyuuga apologized on her own X account for the inconvenience and to those who had waited to meet her. The series account said her health and recovery come first and that a revised convention program is being prepared.
