Why it matters
Amiya is the first Arcaea partner with motion and interaction, so the collaboration is also a test of a partner format the game has not used before.
Key Facts
- lowiro will release the Arknights Collaboration pack for Arcaea on November 17.
- The Arknights Collaboration pack contains eight Arknights songs, including "Speed of Light" and "ALIVE."
- "Renegade" by Jason Walsh, Substantial and X. ARI is added as a free-play song in the Arcaea pack on November 17.
- Amiya joins Arcaea as a new partner with an illustration by Sunano Nashi and is implemented as the game's first motion partner.
- Acquiring the Arknights Collaboration pack unlocks a newly written collaboration story.
The pack holds eight Arknights songs, among them "Speed of Light" by DJ OKAWARI and Ai Ninomiya, "ALIVE" by Obadiah Brown-Beach and Cristina Vee, "Miss You" by David Lin and Erik Castro, and "Operation Spectrum Battle Theme" by cybermiso, DOT96 and tigerlily. A ninth track, "Renegade" by Jason Walsh, Substantial and X. ARI, joins the separate Arcaea pack as a free-play song on the same day. Amiya enters as a new partner, drawn by Sunano Nashi, and is implemented as Arcaea's first motion partner: players can interact with her, and clearing songs triggers new effects. Her skill activates during play and awards Fragments based on results. Buying the pack also unlocks a newly written collaboration story, told from what the announcement calls a familiar perspective.
The pack is billed as the largest collaboration in Arcaea's history, and the song list draws on several corners of Arknights rather than one event. "......Hazuki." by Masanori Akita comes from Integrated Strategies #5, "Sarkaz's Furnace Side Story." "Speed of Light" is the Code of Brawl track. "Miss You" and "Radiant" are character image songs, for Pure Ember Eyjafjalla and Radiant Knight Nearl respectively. "ALIVE" belongs to the in-game band Alive Until Sunset. "Operation Spectrum Battle Theme" and "Fading Sky" come from Contingency Contract #5 and #8, and "Somniomancer [null set]" by Crywolf is from the side story A Walk in the Dust. "Renegade," the free-play addition, is an image song for W.
The story unlock is described only loosely: it is told from a familiar perspective and concerns a memory a certain girl followed. Arcaea runs on iOS and Android as a free-to-play title and is also sold on Nintendo Switch, where additional content is handled differently. lowiro, founded in 2016, released Arcaea in 2017 and has In Falsus for PC via Steam scheduled for September 2026.
