Assetto Corsa EVO Adds 1:1 Free Roam Around Nürburgring

505 Games and KUNOS Simulazioni announced a new Free Roam mode for Assetto Corsa EVO on October 8, 2026. The mode recreates real roads, villages and landmarks in part of Germany's Eifel region at 1:1 scale, starting with the area around the Nürburgring. It includes the 20.8km Nordschleife and can be played solo or with other players. A playable demo appears at Sim Racing Expo in Frankfurt from October 16 to 18.

The mode builds its roads to their actual lengths and widths, with corners, hairpins, intersections, bridges and elevation changes matched to the local environment. Villages, garages, hotels, restaurants and gathering spots appear alongside changing weather, a day-night cycle and AI traffic drawn from the region's characteristics.

Free Roam supports single-player and multiplayer, and offers optional challenges such as Time Attack. KUNOS plans to extend the area in future updates to locations symbolic of the Eifel region.
