Battle In 5 Seconds Manga Resumes After Health Hiatus
The return keeps a series the author has said is approaching its end moving again, after a 2024-2025 break over the same health issues.

Miyakokasiwa's Battle in 5 Seconds manga resumed on Thursday, after Shogakukan posted the previous chapter on June 11 and the author announced a hiatus on August 13. The break was due to the author's poor health. Shogakukan published the 31st compiled volume on July 10. The series, a remake of Saizo Harawata's original, inspired a 2021 anime with a Crunchyroll English dub.
The manga had already stopped once. Miyakokasiwa announced a hiatus in October 2024 while noting health and personal issues since the start of that year, and said the series was approaching its end. Serialization resumed in January 2025, then stalled again after the June 11 chapter, with the author announcing the second break on August 13. Comikey publishes the series in English, and Shogakukan's Manga ONE app carries it alongside Ura Sunday, where the remake launched in 2015.
