Why it matters
The two additions attach a veteran voice actress and a fan-turned-performer to a revival that already brings back producer Chihiro Kameyama, screenwriter Ryoichi Kimizuka, and director Katsuyuki Motohiro behind Yuji Oda.
Takahiro Yamamoto, known for impressions of star Yuji Oda and a longtime fan of the series, has a scene with Oda, with his role kept under wraps.
The film opened the same day the two names were posted. Hayashibara recorded narration for the fictional movie-within-the-movie Seven Bear: The Movie, and said in a comment that a movie within a movie may be a first for her, describing sessions that ran through a standard narration version plus Shirokuma-kun and Seven Bear takes. Yamamoto, whose impressions of Oda are well known, wrote that he never gave up and that he now shares the screen with Oda, thanking Oda and the returning staff. His role is withheld.
