Why it matters
The update concentrates on readouts and practice scaffolding rather than a new play system: chart data, per-song DJ LEVEL, and level-specific pick-up folders all aim at helping players find songs they can clear, which is how a long-running arcade series holds its existing base between major overhauls.
The title carries the concept Digital Elegance, with visuals renewed from the previous entry, and adds a Chart Information Display Function, a DJ LEVEL VIEW, Level-Specific PICK UP Folders for levels 7 through 12, a BPM-Change Song Countermeasure Option, and updated medals.
ZINRAI is the operating name for the next beatmania IIDX cabinet build, and Konami has started rolling it out to arcades rather than holding a single launch date. Alongside the visual renewal, the song selection screen picks up two readouts: DJ LEVEL VIEW, which lists each song's DJ LEVEL, and a Chart Information Display Function, which opens chart details on the main monitor when a player presses 9 on the numeric keypad or the sub-monitor assistant shortcut. The right side of that window cycles through three content types.
- DJ LEVEL VIEW: Lists each song's DJ LEVEL so players can find songs they are good at and songs they have not played
- Chart Information Display Function: Opens chart details on the main monitor via keypad 9 or the sub-monitor assistant shortcut, with three switchable content types
- BPM-Change Song Countermeasure Option: Includes BPM Change Warning, Chart Display Area Fix Function, and Constant Display of Display Area Information, set from Detailed Options
- Powered-up medals: Reflect the number of charts whose conditions have been met in real time
- Level-Specific PICK UP Folders: New folders for levels 7 through 12, picking up 50 songs each
- Chart Retry Ticket (LIGHTNING MODEL exclusive): Powers up the chart retry function, a LIGHTNING MODEL exclusive feature
