Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters Launches on Consoles, Steam Version Set for August 28

Bandai Namco Entertainment released Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on August 27. The PC version arrives on Steam the next day. The soccer action game features an original story supervised by creator Yoichi Takahashi, based on the World Youth arc, and includes over 110 players and 150 new moves.

The game picks up four years after the Junior Youth World Challenge, following Tsubasa and his teammates as Japan Youth representatives. Alongside the New Stars Route, an IF story branches from the original World Youth arc, and a separate route has Germany's Schneider gaining new power.

Bandai Namco expanded the roster to over 110 players from 22 countries, with more than 150 new moves. The gameplay adds goalkeeper mind games and super shots from the keeper's perspective. Composer Tadayoshi Makino returns with over 80 BGM tracks.
