Cinderia Sets Two-Player Co-Op Test For October, Reveals New Character Kosumurasaki

MyACG Studio announced at Tokyo Game Show 2026 that Cinderia's next major update is a two-player co-op mode. The stage ran on September 20 at Makuhari Messe, with producer Xiao Yu and publishing lead Hotpot presenting. Testing starts in October and implementation is planned for November or December. The multiplayer network foundation is finished, Chinese and Japanese servers are live, and a closed test runs through the official Discord. Xiao Yu said the studio would like to release it within three months and at the latest within the year. Co-op itself already works, and he said four players is technically possible, but in-game events are still designed for solo play. The roadmap also lists a high-difficulty Heat system, new bosses, monsters, maps, and events, plus work on character stories and a true ending ahead of the planned March 2027 official release. Cinderia is in early access on Steam at 2,000 yen.

The four playable characters are Lu, a red-hooded knife hunter; Rivet, a blonde engineer with a cannon; Isdara, a blue-eyed knight with a shield; and Uma, a princess who summons forest allies. Each has its own action system and over 80 exclusive passives, so Hotpot said "it's not uncommon to be doing completely different controls in the early, middle, and late stages of a single run."

The stage was a joint project between Game*Spark and the AUTOMATON editorial department. iid game media head Kousuke Miyazaki was MC and AUTOMATON editor Satoshi Aiuchi joined as guest.

Xiao Yu traced the project to a witch-fighting story built with "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" as a reference, before staff tastes pulled it toward Diablo and heavier material. The hardest part of development, he said, was regional difference: Japanese players favor keyboard and mouse, Chinese players watch guides and versus videos and play fast.

Kosumurasaki has no official name yet and is called "Murasaki-chan" internally. She was once slated to be cut. She is a petite girl in purple clothing and a hood, and her theme is music: left click drops musical notes for ranged attacks, right click charges a ranged attack. Xiao Yu said music design is difficult and he is still deciding how much of a rhythm-game form to include.
