Crunchyroll will stream a same-day English dub for the anime of Asa Rokushima's The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life, starting Tuesday. Justin Briner leads the cast as Rein, with Hollis Beck as Lily, Lacey Deline as Nina, KyLeigh Zimmerer as Elsie and Rick Robertson as Barrius. The series premieres on TV Tokyo on Tuesday at 24:00 and on AT-X on Thursday.
The dub is produced through Crunchyroll Studio, with Justin Cook, Michael Harcourt and Nathanael Harrison as producers, Susie Nixon as producer, and Tyler Walker as adaptation supervisor. Clayton Browning writes the adaptation, with Marilyn M. Reyes and Benjamin Tehrani on adaptation prep. Jerry Jewell directs the voice cast, and Tara A. Williams and Brittni Hurley handle talent coordination.
The anime adapts the manga by Gyomuyomochi, itself drawn from Asa Rokushima's novels. Shū Honma directs at P.A. Works, Yōko Yonaiyama writes the series scripts, and Tadahito Kiyosawa designs the characters with Masami Gohda as sub-character designer and chief animation director. Crunchyroll streams the series as it airs in Japan.
