Arc System Works opened the final vote on September 30 for a new Guilty Gear Strive character combination theme song produced by Daisuke Ishiwatari. Voting runs to October 13 at 11:59 PM, with eight pairings on the ballot, among them Sol VS Asuka, Ky VS Robo-Ky, May VS Johnny, Axl VS I-No, Nagoriyuki VS Slayer, Anji VS Baiken, Bridget VS Unika, and Venom VS Robo-Ky. Results land around late October.
The eight pairings on the ballot are the top vote-getters from a preliminary round held earlier, and the winner gets a theme song produced around that specific matchup. Sol VS Asuka, Ky VS Robo-Ky, May VS Johnny, Axl VS I-No, Nagoriyuki VS Slayer, Anji VS Baiken, Bridget VS Unika, and Venom VS Robo-Ky are the options.
Some combinations are not in the running. Themes for Sol VS Ky, Millia VS Zato, Asuka VS Happy Chaos, and Ramlethal VS Elphelt are already in production and excluded from the vote. Ky VS Sin already has its theme, Get Over Nightmares, in the game. The winning song is scheduled for spring 2027 or later, released with those four in-production tracks.
