Why it matters
The set puts SEED Freedom's four leads into the cheap, nationwide gashapon channel, which keeps the film's cast in circulation as capsule figures alongside the larger Gunpla and prize figure releases.

The deformed figure series can be displayed on a base or without one. The lineup is Kira Yamato, Lacus Clyne, Athrun Zala, and Cagalli Yula Athha, and each base carries the head design of the matching Gundam on its back.
The base is the detail worth noting. Each of the four figures comes with a stand whose back carries the head design of the Gundam that goes with the character, so the figure reads as a pair even at capsule size. The series also allows display without the base, for buyers who want a plainer shelf line.
Bandai is placing the set at gashapon corners nationwide rather than limiting it to a single chain, at 500 yen per play. Release is scheduled for the second week of November. Stock and price are listed as of the article's publication date.
