The Hirayasumi television anime announced five more cast members on Tuesday: Daisuke Namikawa, Yoko Hikasa, Yume Miyamoto, Yuichiro Umehara, and television announcer Yuko Naito as narrator. Namikawa plays Hideki Noguchi, Hikasa plays Yomogi Tachibana, Miyamoto plays Akari Yokoyama, and Umehara plays Ryo Ishikawa. The anime premieres in January 2027 in Japan on NHK General, with an English release from Viz Media in 2027.
The latest round of casting names the people around Hiroto Ikuta. Daisuke Namikawa is Hideki Noguchi, described as Hiroto's high school friend who now works in a trendy furniture store. Yoko Hikasa is Yomogi Tachibana, a career woman who feels empty after doing nothing but work. Yume Miyamoto is Akari Yokoyama, Natsumi's first-ever friend, and Yuichiro Umehara is Ryo Ishikawa, a novelist in a minor slump since his books don't sell like they did in his debut.
Television announcer Yuko Naito takes the narrator role. They join Yuma Uchida as Hiroto, Mayu Takahashi as Natsumi Kobayashi, and Rikako Aikawa as Hanae Wada. Kei Suezawa directs at Production +h, with Naoyuki Asano on character design.
