HoYoverse announced during an October 9, 2026 preview program that Zenless Zone Zero will hold a crossover with Honkai: Star Rail in Ver.3.4. Kafka and Robin, two characters from Honkai: Star Rail, will appear in New Eridu as collaboration characters. The same broadcast confirmed that Zenless Zone Zero Ver.3.3, titled Take Flight Once More, launches on October 21 and introduces S-Rank Agents Fione and Severian. Fione is a Fire and Anomaly unit who applies Fire Erosion and revives with full HP after a fatal blow. Severian is a Wind and Attack unit who evades and counterattacks, building energy for consecutive slashes. Ver.3.3 also adds mech combat with switchable melee and ranged modes, a new Labyrinth Mysteries season called Strange Trials, a test run of the Fairy team composition feature, and a Steam version. The crossover runs the other direction as well: Honkai: Star Rail Ver.4.8 will bring Zenless Zone Zero characters Ellen Joe and Astra Yao to the Astral Express.
Robin and Kafka arrive in New Eridu as the Ver.3.4 collaboration characters, which HoYoverse confirmed in a post from the Zenless Zone Zero official X account: "Kafka and Robin descend upon New Eridu, inviting all Proxies on a special, heart-pounding journey. Now, the curtain finally rises on the show!"
- Fione: Fire and Anomaly. Applies Fire Erosion to enemies already suffering attribute anomalies, and her subsequent anomaly damage can land critical hits.
- Severian: Wind and Attack. Automatically evades enemy attacks and counterattacks, building energy through successful evasions to fuel consecutive slashes.
Ver.3.3's main story covers the escalating conflict over the sky island Loscalifa. Mech combat lets players switch freely between melee and ranged modes and fire laser weapons triggered by enhanced special skills or evasions. Environmental interaction includes shooting explosives and destroying obstacles to solve combat and puzzle sections. The permanent Labyrinth Mysteries mode starts a new season titled Strange Trials, and a test run begins for the Fairy team composition feature, which shows recommended teams, tactics, and a controls overview.
