Infinite Backrooms Launches in Steam Early Access With Seamless Procedural Map

OverrideGameStudio released Infinite Backrooms, a Backrooms-based horror game by ww_azevedo, into Steam Early Access for Windows. The game features a procedurally generated, infinite map with no loading screens, supports six-player online multiplayer, and includes five environments. The demo version was temporarily removed, and Imposter Mode is planned for a future update.

Infinite Backrooms entered Steam Early Access on August 15, 2026, for Windows. Developer ww_azevedo built the game around a chunk-based architecture that generates the map in real time, so the space continues endlessly without loading screens. Up to six players can cooperate online while avoiding the entity Bacteria.

Five environments are connected into one generated map: The Office Rooms, The Supermarket, The Pool Rooms, The Parking Lot, and The No-Walls Room. The Early Access version adds hunger, sanity, and stamina meters, an inventory system, a day/night cycle with flashlights, and a level system that requires elevator cards to unlock new areas.

The demo version has been removed temporarily and will be republished after fixes. Imposter Mode is not in the initial release and is planned for a later update. The game is priced at 1,050 yen, with a 735 yen discount until August 29.
