Kadokawa Shows Full Metal Panic Arbalest Test Shot At All Japan Model & Hobby Show

The test shot is the first look at a mass-production-stage kit for the second entry in Kadokawa's own plastic model line, and the article states the sculpt and surface treatment are still at the confirmation stage, so what was shown on the floor is not the final product.

Kadokawa Shows Full Metal Panic Arbalest Test Shot At All Japan Model & Hobby Show

At the 64th All Japan Model & Hobby Show, held at Tokyo Big Sight from October 2 to 4, 2026, Kadokawa displayed the test shot of its 1/48 Arbalest plastic model from Full Metal Panic!. The ARX-7 kit is the second entry in the Kadokawa Plastic Model Series and is accepting preorders for a February 2027 release. Kadokawa plans further refinement of the sculpt and surface treatment.

The 1/48 Arbalest was shown with its back side, duct details, and ECS activated state photographed, along with a figure carrying the Special Set's Wire Gun firing reproduction parts. The ducts use a three-layer structure of internal frame, yellow parts, and armor, and the 42 lenses across the body are pre-painted parts.

The standard kit lists a Boxer 57mm shotgun, a monofilament cutter, anti-tank daggers, hand grenades, ECS mode parts, Lambda Driver heat dissipation fins, and a Sosuke Sagara pilot suit figure. The Special Set adds the Wire Gun parts, silver-plated cutter blade tips, black-plated heat dissipation fins, a Kanetake Ebikawa-designed base, and a limited package. Both are scheduled for February 2027.
