Keiko Suenobu's Ochitara Owari Manga Gets Live-Action Series

Chukyo TV announced a live-action television adaptation of Keiko Suenobu's Ochitara Owari manga, premiering July 1 on Chukyo TV, NTV, and affiliates. Former AKB-48 member Mariko Shinoda and announcer Misato Ugaki star. Taeko Asano writes the scripts.

The series follows housewife Asumi Tsukishima, who after five years of marriage moves into a new high-rise apartment with her family and befriends other mothers, only to find her old classmate Kumiko Mamiya living in the same building. Suenobu serialized the manga in Be Love from June 2019 to September 2023, collecting it in ten volumes. She is also the creator of the acclaimed Life manga, which won the Kodansha Manga Award in 2006 and received its own live-action series in 2007, as well as Limit, which was adapted in 2013.
