Manga One is filling out its fall slate with two creators who already have English-language footprints, Albarran through Kodansha's K MANGA and Machibari through Manga UP! Global and Shusuisha adaptations.

Shogakukan's Manga One app announced its autumn serializations on Monday. Machibari and artist Seseri launch Mibun ga Gyakuten Itashimashite on October 17, with Itoko on character designs. Spanish artist Juan Albarran and Kota Matsuda launch Kyokuhoku Tengoku: Escape From The Far North on October 25. Albarran is the artist on Matagi Gunner, which ran in Kodansha's Morning from 2022 and ended at 11 volumes.
The two titles carry different pedigrees. Machibari's new series is a writer-artist pairing, with Seseri drawing and Itoko on character designs. Machibari's earlier novels have already been adapted into manga, and English readers have seen that work through Manga UP! Global and Shusuisha digital releases.
Albarran works here with Kota Matsuda on a series whose title translates as The Heavenly Prison of the Far North. Before this, Albarran drew Matagi Gunner, which ran in Kodansha's Morning from 2022 through its 11th and final collected volume in June 2025.
