mentor Releases Three Character Pvs Ahead Of October 16 Opening
The three PVs split the film's promotion by character rather than by plot, which fits a story whose tension rests on how each of the three men carries the same childhood fire differently.

Three character PVs for the film mentor, directed by Keisuke Yoshida and starring Hayato Isomura and Seiya Suezawa as co-leads, have been released through the film's official social media. The PVs cover Ryunosuke (Isomura), Takumi (Suezawa), and Nonomoto (Go Ayano). The film opens nationwide on Friday, October 16, following two men who reunite after 15 years with a victim of a fire they caused as boys.
Each PV takes one of the three men. The Ryunosuke Edition opens on Takumi's question about whether Ryunosuke knows he killed someone, and follows the collapse of a daily life built around Olympic archery. The Takumi Edition centers on his belief in Nonomoto, whose words he repeats as if imprinting them. The Nonomoto Edition shows a man who never lets slip any hint of the past in which his wife burned to death.
New scene photos show the three together at field archery, an outdoor course that uses forest and mountain terrain with placed targets.
