Why it matters
The teaser fixes the two things an adaptation of a long-running light novel series needs before production talk gets specific: a lead voice and a broadcast window.
The teaser also gives the premiere date: January 2027. Takayuki Inagaki directs at YANCHESTER, with Hiroko Kanasugi on series scripts and Mariko Fujita designing characters.
Sugita voices Zelos Merlin, the in-game Great Sage that forty-year-old Satoshi Osako is reincarnated as. Takayuki Inagaki, whose prior directing work includes Rosario + Vampire, is at YANCHESTER. Hiroko Kanasugi oversees series scripts and Mariko Fujita designs the characters. Kotobuki launched the web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2016, and Kadokawa shipped the 21st light novel volume with illustrations by Johndee on April 24. J-Novel Club publishes the novels in English.
