Monochrome Corp. and Good Smile Company announced Ignisphere, a mixed media franchise, on Friday. Its first title is Dawngazer, an action RPG directed by Takafumi Noma, the director and character designer of Unicorn Overlord, at Ignisphere Studio. Good Smile Company is publishing. It launches for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam in 2028, with Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese support.
Yoshimi Kudo is composing the music and wrote the arrangement used in the teaser. KOCHO, SAK., and Maki Takimoto handled vocals on that song, with Wataru Mukai on cello. The game is scheduled for 2028 and supports Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
Ignisphere extends past the game. Good Smile Company will run merchandising for the IP, and multiple light novel projects are in development under Kadokawa's Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. Noma previously directed Unicorn Overlord, which Atlus released worldwide in March 2024.
