Mizuki's credit lands on a supporting role timed to the premiere date, which puts a known name on episode one rather than on a later arc.

The anime's official website announced on Wednesday that Nana Mizuki will voice Yggdrasil, the spirit of the World Tree, and that the character appears in the first episode on October 7. Azusa Tachibana leads the cast as Rona Hermit, with Fairouz Ai, Honoka Inoue, Kana Hanazawa, Maria Naganawa, and Yuto Uemura also named. Jōji Furuta directs at Bridge and Aisle.
The casting notice comes with a date attached: Yggdrasil appears in episode one, the same episode that opens the broadcast on Tokyo MX, BS11, and TV Aichi on October 7. MBS carries it from October 10. The production is split between the studios Bridge and Aisle, with Jōji Furuta directing and Shoji Yonemura handling series scripts. Yen Press publishes the light novels in English and ships the third volume on November 10, while Square Enix ships the sixth Japanese novel volume on October 7.
