New Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG Card Autumn Is Also Treated as Summer
The joke lands because the card text is official and unedited, and Konami's own reveal is what gave players the line to laugh at.

The official Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG X account revealed "Autumn" on September 23, a card in the pack "IMMORTAL PHOENIX" releasing October 31. Its effect reads, "While this card is in the Field Zone, it is treated as 'Summer.'" Players reacted with jokes about prolonged summer heat, including "Well, autumn doesn't exist anymore..." Autumn follows "Spring" and "Summer."
The effect text is what did it: while the card is in the Field Zone, it is treated as "Summer." Players posted lines comparing it to the recent prolonged summer heat, including "The lingering summer heat is too harsh," "Well, autumn doesn't exist anymore..." and "Amazing recreation of the source material."
Autumn is the third season-themed card, after "Spring" and "Summer." It joins "IMMORTAL PHOENIX" when the pack releases on October 31.
