PlayWay Announces Handymen Together, a Four-Player Co-op Sim

PlayWay S.A. announced Handymen Together on September 29, developed by Polish studio Simplicity Games for PC via Steam. Up to four players take handyman jobs: painting walls, replacing floorboards, repairing pipes, cleaning, and moving furniture. Physics simulation governs furniture and tools, so carrying can go wrong. Jobs also throw in fires to extinguish and collapsed companions to revive through a medical mini-game. A playtest is scheduled to begin October 19.

The Steam store page lists Japanese in-game display and subtitles. Work is split among companions: tools pass hand to hand, separate tasks run at once, and heavy furniture takes more than one person. Pipe repair and other jobs use dedicated mini-games rather than straight tool use.

Requests are said to grow less straightforward over time. Alongside ordinary home repairs, the game includes jobs involving magic letters, hidden rooms, and mysterious clients. Simplicity Games was founded in 2014, and its previous PC titles include the quiz party game Brain Show: Party Game, the co-op game Party Pirates, and Bober Constructions.
