PLEX Opens Lottery For Frog Tree Red King Gaioh Sofubi
A lottery-only, four-figure sofubi by an artist known for Japanese-style work shows the Ultraman kaiju art line is being positioned at collectors who follow the artist rather than the character, with quantity capped and no first-come ordering.

Dengeki Hobby Web reports that PLEX will sell an Ultraman kaiju soft vinyl figure reworked by Frog Tree, a sofubi artist focused on Japanese style. The figure, UKVA Red King Gaioh, is inspired by Red King and layers on yokai imagery, including the Gashadokuro. Lottery applications run on Premium Bandai from October 11, 2026 at 12:00 to October 26, 2026 at 23:00, one per person. It stands about 28 cm tall, 30 cm long, and costs 40,000 yen including tax. Winners are announced in late October 2026, with shipping in November 2026.
The figure comes from ULTRA KAIJU VINYL ART, a PLEX project that brings sofubi artists to Ultraman kaiju, and it returns to the P-GARAGE Tsuburaya Store special pop-up sale. Frog Tree reworked Red King with yokai motifs: spirits, oni, and the layered detail on the torso and arms that reads as the Gashadokuro, the yokai said to be born from the corpses of battle. The mouth is open with bared fangs, and the musculature is pushed into a silhouette that reads beyond a standard kaiju. PLEX lists it at about 28 cm tall and 30 cm long, big enough for an adult to hold.
