Qubitcore, an OIST-originated quantum computing startup, announced joint research with Osaka University's Quantum Information and Quantum Life Research Center (QIQB) OQTOPUS team, starting September 2026. The project aims to make Qubitcore's ion-trap quantum computer usable on OQTOPUS, an open-source platform developed at QIQB, by building compatibility features and system integration technology. The work runs under the JST COI-NEXT Quantum Software Research Hub program.
