GungHo Online Entertainment launched the "Chapter 1: The Poem of Yggdrasil ~Overture~" expansion update for Ragnarok Online on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. The update adds the new dungeon "Abandoned Laboratory Zero Cell" and the new memorial dungeon "Reproduced Dark Whisper," plus a new equipment series. A separate HalloweenParty2026 event is running, featuring a large "Garin Jiro" in a specific memorial dungeon and a Lantern Hunt.
The update also adds a new equipment series, which GungHo points players toward the newly discovered dimensional erosion sites to obtain. The Halloween side runs on its own track: a big-size "Garin Jiro" appears in a specific memorial dungeon, and defeating it drops the Disaster Shadow series. The event also re-releases past stories that yield pets and adds a Lantern Hunt for Jack-o'-Lanterns scattered around the world, alongside costume equipment that makes the wearer's head disappear.
