Episode 25 opens Season 3 with "Training DE Dinner," set on a day just before summer vacation. A challenge letter from Ryoga arrives at Ranma's place, and the two fight again, with the power gap between them clear after Ryoga's training under Shampoo's great-grandmother Cologne. Cologne then appears before Ryoga, who wants revenge for an earlier humiliation, and her aim is left as the episode's question. The season is a new anime adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's martial arts romantic comedy manga.
