Scopely Expands Barcelona Hub Behind SAGA Game Fest 2026
A US company acquired by a Saudi group is now concentrating engineering, LiveOps, production, its platform team, and its ad lab on one Spanish office tied to Pokemon GO, which shows how much of the mobile games workflow has moved away from the US and Japan.

Scopely now runs a Barcelona office with more than 1,000 staff across its Barcelona and Seville bases, which it calls the largest game company in Spain. The office works on MONOPOLY GO!, Stumble Guys, Star Trek Fleet Command, Scrabble GO, and Yahtzee With Buddies, and houses Playgami and the FLAMED creative lab. Scopely was founded in Los Angeles in 2011 and was acquired by Savvy Games Group in 2023.
Barcelona, not Los Angeles, is where Scopely keeps its European base, and 4Gamer.net notes the office works on MONOPOLY GO!, Stumble Guys, Star Trek Fleet Command, and casual titles such as Scrabble GO and Yahtzee With Buddies. The same site also houses Playgami, the company's internal technology platform, and FLAMED, an in-house lab that produces advertising and marketing work.
Scopely was founded in Los Angeles in 2011 and acquired by Saudi Arabia's Savvy Games Group in 2023 for 4.9 billion dollars. Scopely Barcelona opened in 2017 with five members.
