The film opens in IMAX, MX4D, 4DX, SCREENX, ULTRA 4DX, and Dolby Cinema on October 16, a simultaneous worldwide release. Attendees at IMAX screenings from opening day receive an A3 poster showing Ryu preparing a Hadoken. Only the A3 poster is distributed at IMAX, and the character stickers given at other formats are not part of that offer. One gift per person per viewing, while supplies last. A Japan premiere is set for October 14, with a repost campaign for 25 pairs of tickets through October 8.
