Supergirl Film and LE SSERAFIM Team Up for Remix Song

The upcoming DC Universe film "Supergirl" has announced a music collaboration with K-pop group LE SSERAFIM. The group's song "CELEBRATION" has been remixed for the movie and released as "CELEBRATION (Supergirl Ver.)" on streaming platforms. The track, which is the lead single from LE SSERAFIM's second full album "PUREFLOW pt.1" released on May 22, will also appear in the film itself. Members Kim Chae Won and Huh Yun Jin participated in the song's production. The film stars Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, also known as Supergirl, alongside Eve Ridley and Jason Momoa. James Gunn and Peter Safran produce the film, with Craig Gillespie directing. "Supergirl" is scheduled for simultaneous release in Japan and the United States on June 26. A greeting video from LE SSERAFIM members for Japanese fans has also been released alongside the announcement.

LE SSERAFIM is a five-member group under SOURCE MUSIC. The members are SAKURA, KIM CHAE WON, HUH YUN JIN, KAZUHA, and HONG EUN CHAE. The group name is an anagram of "IM FEARLESS."

KIM CHAE WON, like star Milly Alcock, was born in 2000. Both are members of Generation Z.

In a greeting video released to mark the collaboration, member SAKURA said, "It's a really cool song, just like the movie 'Supergirl'!" KAZUHA commented in Japanese, "Please enjoy the Supergirl remix of the movie and the song at the theater."

The song's theme of "accepting fear and praising the strength to face oneself" parallels the film's story. Kara Zor-El lost her home planet Krypton and decides to fight despite the fear of losing her dog Krypto, who has been poisoned.

The film is produced by DC Studios, led by James Gunn. Last year's "Superman" was a worldwide hit grossing over 95 billion yen. The cast includes Eve Ridley as alien girl Lucy Mary Noelle and Jason Momoa as a bounty hunter robot. David Corenswet also appears, and Superdog Krypto returns.
