KaeruPanda Inc. announced on August 12 that it will release 'Digital Display Collection 500 Series Shinkansen Memorial' for Nintendo Switch in early 2027. The game reproduces the side and in-car LED displays of the 500 Series Shinkansen, which is scheduled for retirement in 2027. It is the first entry in the 'Digital Display Collection' (DecoColle) series, following the 'Makucolle' direction display simulators. AMD released the RDNA 4 entry-level Radeon RX 9050 graphics card for sale in Japan on July 31, 2026. The card is positioned below the RX 9060, which is itself the lower model of the RX 9060 XT. All RX 9050 models currently on sale are 8GB VRAM versions, with the 4GB version being OEM-only. Developer DEADBODY Games released a demo for the roguelite horror game '500 FINGER FILLET' on August 5, available on PC via Steam. The game is based on the knife game, where a player stabs a knife between fingers on a table. In this title, the protagonist is captured and must stab their own restrained hand 500 times within a 20-minute time limit to escape. Exceeding the time limit or losing all blood results in a game over. The knife is mounted on a shaking mechanical arm, and mistimed button presses cause finger stabs, reducing blood. Each stab earns money, which can be spent at a shop after 25 stabs on rings that provide effects like increased earnings or added time. Clearing a round of 50 stabs grants upgrades with trade-offs, such as faster knife descent but more shaking, or items that pause the timer or restore blood. Before each round, players choose from three knives, including butter knives, butterfly knives, letter openers, and forks, each with unique traits and a chance to sever a finger. The demo includes 20 knife types, 20 rings, and 5 of the 10 difficulty levels, plus multiple endings. The full version is scheduled for release on Steam within 2026.
Sega and GPTRACK50 announced on July 30 that the action RPG Stupid Never Dies will launch on October 22 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. The standard edition costs 7,689 yen, and the digital deluxe Gorgeous Baka Edition costs 8,789 yen. The game follows Davy, a cowardly zombie who falls in love with a frozen woman named Julia and ventures into a monster-filled dungeon to revive her. Players use abilities like Style Eat, which lets Davy devour enemy cores and steal their powers, granting 11 transformation styles including werewolf, harpy, and golem. Another ability, Body Hack, allows players to modify Davy's body with gear to improve stats and skills. The developer GPTRACK50 is a studio founded by former Capcom producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, known for the Resident Evil and Devil May Cry series. Stupid Never Dies is the studio's debut title. The opening theme song Stupid Never Dies by DAVY & JULIA and the ending theme Restless, Reckless, Never Die, Fearless by DAVY will begin streaming on August 4.

505 Games and Supernova Games Studios released the V0.5 update for Assetto Corsa Rally on Steam Early Access. 505 Games has signed a publishing agreement for ExeKiller, a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk western FPS developed by Paradark Studio. Players control bounty hunter Denzel Feni, an ExeKiller working for a mega-corporation. The game features a semi-open world with environmental threats, quests with multiple solutions, and player choices that affect NPC attitudes, dialogue, and story endings. It is scheduled for PC release on Steam, with console versions under consideration.
Aoshima Bunka Kyozai-sha's SKYNET brand announced a 1/12 scale pre-finished model of the Yamaha TZR250 '89. Two color variations, Silky White/Fine Red and V-Max Blue/Star Silver, are scheduled for release in November 2026 at 4,620 yen each. The model features a die-cast tank, movable steering and rear suspension, and a display stand.
Hakusensha's monthly shoujo manga magazine LaLa will hold a 50th anniversary original art exhibition in Tokyo and Osaka. The Tokyo venue runs from July 17 to August 3 at Shinjuku Takashimaya. The Osaka venue runs from September 5 to 27 at Namba Parks Museum. The exhibition, titled "50th Anniversary LaLa Original Art Exhibition ~Enchanting Creation~", displays over 200 original artworks by 76 artists, from legendary creators to current serializers. It also features past covers, the first issue from 1976, name drafts, and other materials that trace the magazine's history. Photo spots and an interactive corner where visitors can leave their own "heart-pounding" moments are planned. Admission gifts include illustration cards that change by day of the week; when all five types are collected they form a frame featuring characters from 10 series. A collaboration cafe will run at the Osaka venue from September 5 to 27. Official goods such as a visual book, tote bags, and key charms will be sold.
G-ant Co. announced a second collaboration figure series with the game live-streaming project KUN's 50-Person Craft, adding 8 new participants plus a new costume variant KUN (2P). GPTRACK50, the Osaka studio founded by former Capcom producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, announced that its debut title Stupid Never Dies will launch for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam in fall 2026. A new key visual and second trailer accompanied the release window reveal. The game is a single-player 3D action RPG starring Davy, a cowardly zombie considered the weakest in the monster world. His goal is to revive a frozen woman named Julia, whom he fell in love with at first sight, and take her on a date. Davy explores dangerous dungeons, using a battle system called Style Eat to defeat and consume enemies, learning their abilities and transforming into 11 forms including werewolf, golem, vampire, and demon. A second growth system, Body Hack, lets players modify Davy's body with OT Gear. The trailer also introduced supporting characters such as Dr. Frank, biker zombie Bessie, stone statue monster Goil, and Chihuahua man Aserino. Boss characters revealed include Ifrit, Wyvern, Bob Dullahan, and Phoenix Zaza Hot Feathers. GPTRACK50 was established in October 2022 by Kobayashi, whose credits include the Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and Sengoku Basara series.

The Korean indie daily-life mystery adventure Room 502: Boarding School Youth Mystery was playable at BitSummit PUNCH. Players follow cynical student Shin Heun as she investigates a roommate's disappearance at a boarding school. The game uses a concentric-circle deduction system and is planned for PC via Steam.
Anime Expo announced it will host the first official North American screening of The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? on July 5. The convention also revealed guests including voice actors Masakazu Morita and Machico, and a Macross panel by BIGWEST on July 2.
